You can now create an upload link under Files by using the right-click context menu.

This turns a folder into a secure upload entry point for external users:

👤 External users can upload without an account

The upload link is built exactly for this: people outside your account can upload files without needing their own cryptfiles.cloud account.

That makes the process much easier:

• Create the link

• Let the file be uploaded
• Manage the upload in the target folder

📁 Uploads land in the selected folder

When creating the upload link, you define the target folder.

External users upload their files through the link — and the files are placed directly into the folder you selected.

➡️ No manual sorting from countless email attachments. No more “I sent it again as a ZIP”. Everything arrives where it belongs.

⏳ Time-limited upload links

Upload links can be given an expiry period.

This is especially useful when a link should only be used for a specific case, deadline or client matter.

Examples:

• 1 day for short-notice follow-ups
• 1 week for project submissions
• 1 month for ongoing cases or client communication

➡️ The link does not stay open longer than necessary.

🔒 Storage & management stay with the creator

Important: Uploaded files use the storage of the upload link creator.

That means:

• The external uploader does not need their own account
• The external uploader does not need their own storage
• The files belong organizationally to the creator’s account
• Only the creator of the upload link can see and manage the files after upload
