JDownloader 2 Plugin

Download files with JDownloader

The CryptFiles plugin lets JDownloader decrypt and download encrypted shares automatically - paste the link, done.

How it works

1

Install plugin

Download the plugin ZIP and extract the jd/ folder into your JDownloader installation folder.

2

Restart JDownloader

Close JDownloader completely and start it again so the plugin is loaded.

3

Paste share link

Copy any cryptfiles.cloud share link (including the # fragment) and paste it into JDownloader - the download starts automatically.

Or use Click'n'Load

On every share page there is an "Open in JDownloader" button. Click it while JDownloader is running and the link is added automatically.

FAQ

Is the encryption key sent to the server?
No. The key lives exclusively in the URL fragment (#...) which your browser never sends to the server. JDownloader reads it locally and decrypts the file on your device.
Which encryption is used?
XChaCha20-Poly1305 IETF with per-chunk BLAKE2b key derivation - identical to the browser decryption.
Does it work with password-protected shares?
Yes. JDownloader will prompt you for the password and unwrap the key locally.
Can I use my account for more bandwidth downloads?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account Manager in JDownloader, click Add, select cryptfiles.cloud, enter your e-mail as username and your API token as password. You can create an API token in your account settings. Premium and Pro accounts get higher bandwidth limits.
